<p><b>Kalbarri</b> ist ein Küstenort in <a href="Western_Australia" title="Western Australia">Western Australia</a>, etwa 592 km nördlich von <a href="Perth" title="Perth">Perth</a> an der Mündung des <a href="Murchison_River_(Indischer_Ozean)" title="Murchison River (Indischer Ozean)">Murchison River</a>. Der Ort lebt hauptsächlich vom Tourismus und grenzt unmittelbar an den gleichnamigen <a href="Kalbarri-Nationalpark" title="Kalbarri-Nationalpark">Nationalpark</a>.

<p>Kalbarri gilt seit dem Jahr 1951 als permanent besiedelt, zuvor standen einfache Fischerhütten an der Mündung des <a href="Murchison_River_(Indischer_Ozean)" title="Murchison River (Indischer Ozean)">Murchison River</a>. Die ersten 12 Straßen wurden nach dem Entdecker <a href="George_Edward_Grey" title="George Edward Grey">George Grey</a> und seiner Mannschaft benannt, die 1839 vor der Küste Schiffbruch erlitten<sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>.

<p>Kalbarri ist für den Tourismus sehr gut erschlossen. Hauptattraktion ist der angrenzende <a href="Kalbarri-Nationalpark" title="Kalbarri-Nationalpark">Nationalpark</a> mit den gewundenen Schluchten des <a href="Murchison_River_(Indischer_Ozean)" title="Murchison River (Indischer Ozean)">Murchison Rivers</a>. Der Ort ist Ausgangspunkt für saisonbedingte Walbeobachtungstouren, ebenso finden morgendliche <a href="Pelikane" title="Pelikane">Pelikanfütterungen</a> statt. Zwei Kilometer südlich des Ortes befindet sich ein privater Vogelpark.
